Tons of injury updates regarding the Vegas Golden Knights today, so let's just jump right into it.

First, the big news of the day is that captain Mark Stone took to the ice Monday at City National Arena in a blue no-contact jersey. Stone had back surgery in late January for the second time in his career and has been out since January 12th.

Due to cap issues, the Golden Knights cannot activate Stone from LTIR until the playoffs. But with just two games left in the regular season, the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, which may or may not feature Stone, are right around the corner.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy stated that Stone's skating with the team is the next step in his recovery process and obviously a great sign.

"It's a good sign. He looked good. This is his next stage in his return to play recovery and getting him ready with the team. Again, I don't know how long that will be, but this is step one, and we will see how he responds to it tomorrow. It feels good to have him around," said Cassidy.

Also, good news, both Adin Hill and Logan Thompson took the ice in what turned into a cluttered goalie practice as Laurent Brossoit and Jonathan Quick were also dressed. Quick practiced on the other rink, Thompson left midway through practice, and Hill and Brossoit were the primary practice goalies.

Hill, who was loaned to the Henderson Silver Knights on Friday, played one game with the HSK and has now returned to the VGK. He may play in the Silver Knight's final home game of the season on Saturday against the Ontario Reign, their last game of the season.

On a less positive note, all of Will Carrier, Jack Eichel, Alex Pietrangelo, Zach Whitecloud, and Shea Theodore were not on the ice. Cassidy confirmed that Pietrangelo took a maintenance day, so he should be good to go against the Kraken. There are no relevant updates on Carrier, who is not skating.

Theodore and Eichel will both not play tomorrow against the Kraken. Both are out with unknown injuries. Eichel missed the last game against the Dallas Stars with an injury that appears to not be all that serious, but he and the team want to play things safe before the playoffs.

Whitecloud, who left the game against the Stars, is now out with a lower-body injury and is now skating. The team already had Brayden Pachal recalled from the Silver Knights with the Theodore injury. Now, Kaedan Korczak has been recalled, and one of the young defensemen will likely get in tomorrow.

"I don't think he is long-term from what I've heard. Our doctors will look at him. I saw him this morning, and he wasn't doing too bad," said Cassidy.

Also of note, Daniil Miromanov is currently injured with the Silver Knights. He likely would have been called up if not for this injury. Goalie Jiri Patera is also currently hurt.

As for the lines themselves, here is what Cassidy went with. The D-pairings rotated, and we have no idea who will start tomorrow.
