It just never ends for the Vegas Golden Knight's goaltenders. At practice in Tampa Bay Wednesday, goaltender Adin Hill was not present with the team due to a lower-body injury. Shea Theodore was also not on the ice, but head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed it was a maintenance day for him.
"Adin (Hill) has been dealing with a lower-body injury. We are keeping an eye on that and will see how he will be tomorrow morning. It was good for Jonathan (Quick) to get some more practice time and some more live work. We will make a decision on the goaltending tomorrow," said Cassidy.
The Golden Knights are currently without three other goaltenders in their organization. Both Logan Thompson and Laurent Brossoit are out with lower-body injuries and Robin Lehner is out for the year. The acquired Jonathan Quick at the trade deadline. In that deal, they traded away Michael Hutchinson.
Jiri Patera is likely the next goaltender on the chopping block to be called up from the Henderson Silver Knights. If there is an official recalling of Patera, it likely will not mean good news for Hill, who has been excellent as of late.
