The Vegas Golden Knights (35-18-6, 76 points) will play the Colorado Avalanche (33-19-5, 71 points) this afternoon at 6:00 p.m. in their final meeting of the season series, this game being at Ball Arena.

The Golden Knights have points in nine straight games, but lost their last contest to the Dallas Stars in the shootout 3-2.

What to Watch

Come on Barbie Let's Go Party

Ivan Barbashev will make his Golden Knights debut after being acquired by general manager Kelly McCrimmon on Sunday. The Golden Knights will try and implement Barbashev's rugged two-way style of play on the top line alongside Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault.

Atop of the Hill

Laurent Brossoit, who had played the last three games for the Golden Knights, is now out day-to-day with a lower-body injury, which means Adin Hill is back in net for the VGK. With Logan Thompson also out with an injury, the opportunity to emerge as a starting goaltender is there for Hill after his minor injury.

Scoring Starts

With their high-powered offense, the Colorado Avalanche have scored the first goal in 15 of their last 17 games. Just a little something to watch out for.
