The Vegas Golden Knights (34-18-5, 73 points) will play the Calgary Flames (27-20-11, 65 points) a little earlier than usual at 6:00 p.m. tonight from T-Mobile Arena. This is the second of four meetings this season between the Flames and Golden Knights, who are battling for Pacific playoffs points.

The Golden Knights have collected points in seven straight games and have not lost a game in regulation since the return from the All-Star Break. The VGK have also never lost a game to the Flames at T-Mobile Arena (7-0).

From practice, the Golden Knights made a couple of roster moves as Nicolas Roy and Adin Hill were absent. Hill was seen skating on the other practice rink and Byron Froese was recalled in place of Roy. Injured defensemen Daniil Miromanov was also on the ice in a blue no-contact jersey.

Laurent Brossoit is confirmed to be the starter tonight and Michael Hutchinson will back him up.

The Golden Knights made their first trade for the deadline season Wednesday as they traded Shea Weber's contract and a fifth-round pick to the Arizona Coyotes for Dysin Mayo. The trade deadline is eight days away, on March 3, 2023.

What to Watch For

Fourth Line Adjusts

The Golden Knights remaining fourth line players of Brett Howden and Keegan Kolesar will have to adjust to Roy being out of the lineup. This line has been stellar for the VGK as of lately with Howden scoring three points in his last five games and Kolesar four in his last five.

Shea Stars

Similarly, since his return to the lineup, Shea Theodore has been instrumental in the Golden Knights success and offense from the blue line. Theodore is currently on an seven-game point streak and has eight points in his last five games.

Brossoit's Back

The Golden Knights were unable to get a win for Laurent Brossoit on Tuesday after he made his first NHL start since March of last season. Brossoit stopped 37 of 39 shots and lost in the shootout to the Blackhawks. The VGK now have another opportunity tonight to get LB his first win of the season.
