Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone has been listed out week-to-week by head coach Bruce Cassidy with an upper-body injury. He has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Edmonton Oilers. Stone left the Golden Knight's Thursday game against the Florida Panthers in the first period.

"He was in this morning and is still getting some tests done. He won't play tomorrow. We'll put him as week-to-week for now. It's his upper body," said Cassidy.

Rewatching Stone's last shift, no apparent play seemed to cause the injury.

Stone's streak of playing in every single game this season will come to an end Saturday as now only five Golden Knights (Reilly Smith, Chandler Stephenson, Brayden McNabb, Phil Kessel, and William Karlsson) have played in every game for

Stone has had injury troubles in his career, specifically last season with his back. He was limited to just 37 out of the teams' 82 games in 2021-22 as he had a back procedure mid-season and then another one again in the offseason.

The 30-year-old captain has 38 points in 43 games this season and has been a huge part of the VGK's success. He has five years left on his $9.5 million AAV deal and has played in over 200 games with the Golden Knights since being acquired from the Ottawa Senators.
