Two notable news updates surrounding the Henderson Silver Knights surfaced on Wednesday. Both of which concern their parent team, the Vegas Golden Knights.

First, the Golden Knights recalled forward Jonas Rondbjerg of the Silver Knights. Rondbjerg is a 23-year-old former third-round pick of the VGK who has 30 games of NHL experience.

This move is likely a depth move for the team to add reinforcements due to the recent Jack Eichel injury.

With Eichel out, the Golden Knights re-inserted Michael Amadio into the lineup, which left them with no spare forwards.

Eichel was injured in the Golden Knight's Dec. 3 win against the Detroit Red Wings. It appears to be a left leg injury for Eichel.

He was a game-time decision against the Boston Bruins on Monday but was unable to play.

Based on practice lines, Rondbjerg will play against the Rangers Wednesday night, replacing Michael Amadio.

Also in Silver Knights news, forward and Golden Knights top prospect Brendan Brisson is reportedly expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a knee injury after he recently underwent surgery.

Brisson was the Golden Knight's first-round pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft coming out of the University of Michigan.

The 21-year-old has played in 15 games with the Silver Knights this season and scored three goals and three assists.

The Golden Knights are in action tonight against the New York Rangers at 7:00 p.m. at T-Mobile Arena. The Silver Knights are also playing tonight on the road at 7:00 p.m. against the Ontario Reign.
